WEEK 2
In this series focusing on shift patterns and sleep, our expert will take you through some of the basics of sleep management for shift patterns, addressing common sleep myths as well as some practical takeaways for you to put these pieces into your own practice. Then we will take a deeper look at sleep hygiene and how that specifically applies to shift patterns, with the final part we will be looking at sleep and lifestyle while managing shift patterns.
This week we will introduce Sleep Hygiene – behavioural & environmental; how to tailor Sleep Hygiene to shift working, prep for shift changes / practical considerations. Simple changes can make big differences. If you are having difficulties with sleep try to implement any aspects of sleep hygiene and / or a structure to changing shift patterns. Behavioural change and the impact of making changes can take time to take effect.
