Beyond Sleep Hygiene - What Can Go Wrong?

WEEK 3

In this series focusing on shift patterns and sleep, our expert will take you through some of the basics of sleep management for shift patterns, addressing common sleep myths as well as some practical takeaways for you to put these pieces into your own practice. Then we will take a deeper look at sleep hygiene and how that specifically applies to shift patterns, with the final part we will be looking at sleep and lifestyle while managing shift patterns.

This week we will talk about bio, psycho, social & environmental factors that impact sleep sleep disorders. General examples throughout, though also tailored to shift work patterns. Take Away Exercise – Continue with sleep hygiene / sleep diary approach. You may have notice something in the above that may be relevant to factor in, if so do that and continue to monitor for the impact of small changes.
